CLEANING CLOTHS
l.a.Eyeworks commissions visual innovators—artists, illustrators, graphic designers—to explore the lens cleaning cloth as a blank canvas for art. Since 2009, the program has featured works by world-renowned figures from the visual arts, including Alison Saar, Liz Young, Remy Charlip, Nayland Blake, Georganne Deen, Roy Dowell, Huntley Muir, Martin Kersels, Renée Petropoulos, Jim Isermann, Barbara Kruger, Kori Newkirk, Catherine Opie, Gere Kavanaugh, Soo Kim, Gary Panter, Connie Samaras, Susan Silton, Elizabeth Streb, Jeffrey Vallance, Julian Hoeber, and Bob Zoell. The most recent series, launched in 2024, features new works by Gabriela Ruiz, Marc Pally, Edgar Arceneaux, and Karen Carson.
